check back is when u want to move off from stationary.
if there are no kerb on either side of ur location,then itll always
be on the right.
if there are a kerb on either side of ur location,then ur check
back will always
be on the opposite side.
for eg,a kerb is on ur left,then check back on the right.
if the kerb is on ur right then check back on the left.
but this is not the case for blindspot.
if u want to turn left at filter lanes and obviously there will be
a kerb on ur left,
u need to check ur blind spot on ur left instead of right,.
then only after u passed the pedestrian crossing,then u check blind
spot on right
